June 19 – July 3, 2011

Tempo questions the way we connect to our own sense of time and space by playing with the Italian etymology of the word: time, weather condition, rhythm, perception and transition. the .NO window turns into a permeable screen to merge the inside space with busy Houston street. whether the videos projected portray reflections and shadows, the abstract movement of a body in space, the changes of natural conditions, or the change of pace in a city landscape, the viewer is invited to explore in depth these multiple perceptions with his own “tempo”.

Tempo project includes installations with books and plants. please feel free to bring a book you love to exchange or a plant, which will take part in andreco‘s Contemporary Alchemy solo show (July 8-31) – preferably ivy, bamboo, or sedum. after the show your plant will be returned, and will keep the memory of the work.
